Police Eyewear Float Day
Once again we shall unite the adventurers, thrill seekers and professional chillers for the third annual float day. This is a day dedicated to celebrating summer and all the joys of the festive season. Forget about the world, grab your swim wear and something (anything) that floats and head over to the island.
This year we have teamed up with our friends at Police Eyewear and they are helping us bring you the biggest and best float day yet. Stay tuned for the best ever in live entertainment, the greatest prizes and so many more surprises waiting for you on the island.
Police Eyewear float day awards:
The coolest float
The award for the most outrageous floatation device - the crazier the better. Judging criteria will be based on size, style, originality and relevance (so long as it floats, right?).
1st prize: Police Eyewear sunglasses to the value of R1 999
2nd prize: Police Eyewear discount voucher to the value of R750
3rd prize: Complimentary “The Barbara” cocktail (R280)
The fastest floater
The award for he or she who makes it back to the beach bar first. The more you chill, the faster you float (its science-ish). Remember to resist the temptation: paddling or propulsion leads to disqualification
1st prize: 1 x Police Eyewear sunglasses to the value of R1 999.
2nd prize: 1 x Police Eyewear discount voucher to the value of R750
3rd prize: Complimentary “James the Giant Skull” cocktail (R180)
THE FLOAT CEREMONY STARTS AT 15:00
Float ceremony participation requires a brief signup at the beach bar between 13:00 - 14:30. Floaters will be guided to the top of the island to the starting line then its ready, steady, go go go. Prize giving will be at 17:00.

Even if you aren’t participating in the official float ceremony, the entire day is dedicated to floating and having a good time!
